Expat Filings operates expatfilings.com. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information through two mechanisms on this site.

Through the referral intake form at /find-a-specialist, we collect:

• First name and last name
• Email address
• A free-text description of your tax situation (up to 5,000 characters)
• A set of situation indicators describing your tax profile and filing history

Through the mailing list signup form that appears on article pages, we collect email addresses only.

How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through the referral form is used to assess whether your situation falls within the scope of our specialist network, facilitate an introduction to a vetted specialist where appropriate, and respond to your submission by email.

Email addresses submitted through the mailing list signup form are used to send periodic deadline reminders and updates on US–France cross-border tax developments. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

We do not sell or rent your information to any third party.

Data Storage and Processors

Contact records (name, email, and situation indicators) submitted through the referral form, and email addresses collected through the mailing list signup, are stored in Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French-headquartered email and CRM platform. Brevo processes data in accordance with GDPR.

The free-text description of your situation is transmitted via Brevo's transactional email system to the site operator and to you as a confirmation. It is not currently stored in a persistent database.

Retention

Contact records are retained until you request deletion. To request deletion of your data, contact us at contact@expatfilings.com .

Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
